** With attack of guard officers to Air Force garrison of Tehran street fighting began. ** When people dwelling around the dorm of the airmen were informed of the guard forces’ attack to airmen, they informed their neighbors at surrounding districts and so a large crowd of people soon gathered in front of the dorm chanting “Allah-u Akbar”? in support for the airmen.

** People continued their gathering in front of the dorm of the airmen. They feared that in case of their evacuation of the place the guard forces might attack the airmen once again. So, they inquired Imam’s opinion and Imam asked them not to scatter.
** People were still chanting anti-regime slogans around the dorm of the airmen and had burned worn tires to warm themselves. Around 3:30 midnight, curfew officers approached people with their military vehicles and while were shooting bullet in the air to frighten and scatter them. People took shelter in surrounding alleys, but officers could arrest 152 people and transfer them to Tehran Police Station, the headquarters of curfew. There were two clerics among the detainees. Note: apparently the first police station seized by people was the very same police station.
